Just a quick thanks for all those who made it on us going back to the two meets a month cycle. As previous years, from september onwards, it is usually the start of the extra fun meets with loadsa new people joining in and just a bigger crowd that takes advantage of the larger venue of the Horse and Groom!
It was meet of the regular faces but also some new ones as well. I estimate that about 20 people passed through the night so it was definitely not a quiet one. Maybe we can even push it to another infamy entry on beerintheevening ;)
Extra kudos goes to Sammie with her yummy fairy cakes, Chris his introduction of Pictoimage and re-introduction of Daigasso! Band Brothers DX. Band brothers especially, download play of rock band rhythm stylee for up to 8 peeps. If anyone has this game then it is a must have for the next meet. Ofcourse the classics of Tetris, bomberman and mario karts were had but it's good to see we are starting to see more variation in games.
The next meet is the 27th Sept. For all those lurkers out there, it is the perfect time to come join us with a larger turn out, so don't be shy! Hope to catch you then.
Come along and meet the nice and the friendly at DS London - the meet up for Nintendo DS owners. Play some games, have a drink, chat away and make new friends. Mario Kart, Pokemon, Bomberman, Mario, Brain Training, 42 All Time Classics and people!
Our meetup has been since 2006 (over 6 years!) and still going strong. We focus not just on the gaming but the social aspect of getting a bunch of peeps in a pub, so be prepared for nostalgic gaming chatters, news discussions, philosophical debates (well... sort of) and just what ever comes up.
We've done over 100 meets, Nintendo ds tournaments, a world record attempt and traveled to other cities to spread the word! Little wonder that we are one of the top rated meetups :)
