What Janice S. is saying about this Meetup Group

Overall the group was great, but there was one individual, a veteran of Freegan, who was quite nasty. I mentioned it to the facilitator of this meeting and was told something along the lines of, 'oh yeah, she can be cranky, difficult, etc.,' but that thinking only condoned this person's behavior. I asked this individual to pass me something from the trash tour and she said 'reach for it yourself, I can't give it to you.' Even thinking about it now makes me angry because I have a locked shoulder and I COULDN'T REACH FOR IT and she WAS RIGHT NEXT TO IT and could have handed it to me easily. I ended up having to reach for it anyway. This wasn't the only display of her nasty behavior, just the one that stood out the most and if I see this individual at any Freegan event in the future and she makes the mistake of treating me the same way again, she is going to suffer the consequences because I am going to make it VERY CLEAR that I will NOT tolerate such behavior.
