Our meetup.com page is our way of meeting new people and inviting you to join our organization - the Dunwoody Jazz Society. We encourage our meetup.com members to sign up for our mailing list at http://www.dunwoodyjazzsociety.com as some of our events are advertised only via our mailing list.

We promote bebop, swing, Latin, big band era and blues rather than contemporary or "pop" jazz in the Atlanta area. We like to explore ways to enjoy music in intimate settings and get to know our fellow jazz and blues fans with social events such as house concerts, parties, and lectures.  Occasionally we attend outside events together as a group. These are events that are low or no-cost and venues where the music isn't so loud that it discourages conversation and mingling among people who attend. 

FEEL FREE TO JOIN AND EXPLORE AS WE DO NOT EXPECT PAYMENT FOR DUES UNTIL YOU DECIDE TO COME TO AN EVENT. MEMBERSHIP DUES ARE $5 PER YEAR AND CAN BE PAID BY CHECK OR PAYPAL OR BY CASH AT YOUR FIRST EVENT.
