Hello folks smile Hope you are all doing fine!

I would like to make two apologies. First, I'm sorry for the lateness of this update for this month's expat meetup. I have been on holiday in the UK visiting family, I could not quite catch up with expat correspondence while I was there. I hope you will understand, it will be quickly sorted smile

Second, my apologies for the August Sunday meetup which finished sooner than expected. Olives informed us on the day of the expat meetup that they would be closing earlier than usual at 6:30pm instead of the usual time of 8pm. The reason is in summer Olives often has fewer customers so the bar closes earlier to save costs. Happily they will return to normal business hours after September. As it turned out on the day, the staff allowed us to stay until 8pm so we did not lose much time. The next Sunday meetup will be at Olives but for September only the times will be slightly adjusted to reflect the new closing times. More about that soon.

Thank you very much to all those who made time to join us for the Sunday meetup! It was a great attendance and it was especially nice to see most people who took part to stay for dinner at Mosche Mosche then drinks afterwards at Schloesser Bar on Ratinger Strasse smile We hoped you enjoyed it, especially if it was your first time, and we look forward to seeing you next time!

Finally a reminder that August expat meetup will be this Thursday, 8pm, O'Reillys Irish Bar on Marktplatz, Altstadt smile Following the success and popularity of hosting the meetup outside O'Reillys, if the weather is nice we shall do the same again. If the weather is cold & wet then you will find us inside, top floor by the bar. If you have difficulty finding the meetup, the staff at O'Reillys are very helpful and they will help you find us.

Whether you are new to Germany, new to D?sseldorf or wish to meet international people from diverse backgrounds living and working in your new area then please feel free to join us!

My apologies again for the lateness of this update. May I wish you all a great week, look forward to seeing you this Thursday!
