NL Boomsma Borrel - incl. Young & Aged Genever Tasting (complimentary)

  • September 13, 2013 · 8:00 PM
  • Hurley's Saloon

(english below)

Semi-overdekt terras, rain or shine.

Fri September 13 - Young & Aged Genever Tasting

The first bottle of Boomsma 'Oud Friesche' Beerenburger was produced over 125 years ago. These days, Boomsma offers an extensive range of spirits and wines throughout the world. In North America, Boomsma is known for its traditional and authentic Young (Jonge) and Aged (Oude) Genever…the predecessor to modern-day Gins.

In contrast to many other distilleries, Boomsma Distilleerderij is still an independent, family-owned business. Saskia Boomsma and her brother Chantoine, who are part of the family’s fifth generation, are now in charge…. thereby ensuring that old traditions are cherished, and new ambitions are fulfilled.

Some of these new ambitions are pursued in New York, where Saskia will be pouring the Oude and Jonge Genever at the Sept. 13 NLBorrel. In addition to the free tasting, special cocktails will be for sale at the bar.

This event will take place at our usual spot, Hurley's Saloon, 232 W 48th, party room up the stairs, use the doors next to the main entrance, 8pm onwards.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
