Social/Edu - Dave's midweek meetup

YOU MUST READ THIS FIRST before you click that RSVP button.

RSVP policy: Everybody goes on the waiting list and from there will be put on the RSVP list until we have about 35/40 people. Preference goes first to Native speakers, regular members then newbies. You must be on the RSVP list to attend.

Keep checking your status until the 4.30pm deadline on meetup day as you could still get put on the RSVP list. People often drop out at the last minute.

If you are on the waiting list and don't want to be put on the RSVP list on meetup day then please undo your RSVP. It stops you getting a NO SHOW.

Theme:  We will chat and discuss over a drink in Dutch anything you like.

It's going to be interactive so everyone gets a chance to practise their Dutch.

Come along and have some fun practising your Dutch with other expats.

Get to know new people.

Learn more daily Dutch in a fun way with the help of "Native speakers".

(Nederlanders  "Native Speakers" zijn van harte welkom om te helpen)

Bring a pen and paper, small change, good humour, and of course yourself.

A small voluntary contribution (€2) will be asked for organising costs.

Please be considerate to other members on the waiting list who may wish to attend by taking the time to undo your RSVP if  you can't make it. Those on the waiting list would love to have your spot.

Check your status until the 4.30pm deadline on meetup day

Announcements: A warm evening and a very good attendance. Fortunately we could also sit outside later on. Quite a few newbies this evening, they said they enjoyed their first meeup.
No shows: 2x Please think of the 4.30 pm deadline.
Thanks to our native speakers for their help.
Words we learnt: antecedent, belabberd, lauw/lui, mengelmoes, het vliegtuig, rouw, lichamen, rampgebied, respect.
The terrible act against the innocent people of Holland travelling over Ukraine in a plane that was shot down by madmen.
Today is a national day of mourning for Holland.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
