What to expect?

Holland Expat Services likes to get you acquainted with Dutch eating and food habits. How does our climate, culture and religion reflects in what we eat and when?

We will teach you something about the history of our eating habits. We will focus on food from Brabant. We will also show you the influence of our overseas colonies.

  • o Why are we eating so many potatoes?

  • o When are we eating “worstenbroodjes”?

  • o What do we eat when a baby is born?

  • o What is a “Bossche Bol”?

We will share our grandmother’s recipes with you. We will tell you where you can buy local specialties in the area. Of course we will let you taste some of those local specialties.

Is there something about our Dutch food or eating habits you always wanted to know? Just e-mail your question (info@hollandexpatservices.com) and we will try to pay attention to it in our workshop/seminar.
