How to turn your Idea into a Business with Market Validation

Successful entrepreneurs use a mix of art and science to build to their success.

We all have varying degrees of creativity, but there is a solid scientific process that underpins all entrepreneurial endeavour.

This process is called Market Validation - or using market contact to shape and develop your idea.  This concept is heavily espoused by two Startup Thought Leaders: Eric Ries and Steve Blank in their recently released books.

Come along to our latest meetup and understand the Market Validation process so that you can apply it to your own idea.

Market Validation experts from The BCC will be there to introduce Market Validation concepts, present a case study on Market Validation and help you with your own Market Validation queries.

As always, drinks and nibbles will be provided.

We look forward to seeing you there.

The session was very useful as i realised how important it is to learn what your customers ACTUALLY want or need. However, it did put me back a little in terms of my entry to innovate manawatu. I haven't done any face to face customer approaches as yet but it has motivated me to at least put a basic proposal together to at least get some feedback from customers.

pretty cool. I liked the interactivity of the meet up, but unfortunately had to leave early. Some interesting ideas were shared that are worth further perusal.

Quite good. Difficult to hear comments from the back of the room perhaps the group will be smaller as time goes on.
When do we get into more detail about innovation one to one?

This was a well presenteed overview of Steve Blank's Lean Start-up model. The BCC team does a good job of simplifying essential steps for start-up companies.
