Two Peaks with a view - Beaver-Anthracite

The meetup will appear full for manual control -  add yourself to waiting list, and I'll pull you in depending on fit for mountain/team.

These are pictures from a recent trip report
http://www.nwhikers.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8008920

1. This is not a technical climb, but a physically demanding hike and scramble

Our typical hikes are around 8-10 miles round trip,[masked] feet elevation gain, and mixed terrain scramble to a peak.

2. Required list of equipment

Headlamps

10 Essentials

Ice Axe

Microspikes

Crampons

You must be prepared enough to stay overnight in winter incase of emergency. For a full list of equipment: see

http://www.firstemall.com/epeaks/

3. Time - Full day - do not book anything for the evening.

4. Hiking speed - I go at a  very slow pace If u are faster, u have to slow down or carry more weight.

5. Carpool -the group charge $0.50 per mile divided to each occupant. Here are some carpool costs per occupant from previous trips.

5$ to north bend

10$ to  snoqualmie pass,

20$ to cle elum, Stevens pass, mountain loop (lower)

25$ to Teanaway/Blewett pass, North Casacades, Rainer

6. Dinner: we go for dinner after this hike

7. Waiver

All participants must have a Waiver. on file. If your title does not have a * or, has a w*, then u don't have a waiver with Peaks. You should print/sign and bring this waiver with you.

how was the drive in to the trailhead? Hope you got some of the bluebird skies and sun!

driving to TH was a adventure - you can easily drive to around 1 mile from the TH. any standard high clearance vehicle. We got to 1/2 mile of TH and snow was too deep. We were the first to go through and now there should be tracks to make it easier for others.

Lot of blue skies, but not much sun comes inside the valley..

Beautiful day and place - lots of snow. Though, we did not summit due to steeper slopes. We will go another day with the right route..

    We meet 6AM at Ashway.

Pls take your showshoes in the car. It snowed yesterday night and will snow a bit today, but my guess is that it won't snow enough to need snowshoes. But, let's carry snowshoes in the car to trailhead and then decide to carry them on the trail depending on conditions we see there. It is hard to decide this upfront.

Hey Ashwin, The bus (512) reaches the "Ash Way Park & Ride" at 6:17 AM is that ok?

I am not sure if anyone is coming from downtown with whom I can ride.
    Any Suggestions?
