The meetup will appear full for manual control - add yourself to waiting list, and I'll pull you in depending on fit for mountain/team.

1. This is not a technical climb, but a physically demanding hike and scramble

Our t ypical hikes are around 8-10 miles round trip,[masked] feet elevation gain, and mixed terrain scramble to a peak.

2. What to Bring

Hi Ashwin. I'm exciting about this trip on Saturday. Thanks for setting it up and putting me on the trip list. I have an outing the next day and just need to plan for logistics. Any estimate on when you expect we'll be back at the trailhead?

Speaking of which... at what trailhead are we starting?

    January 17, 2013

    • Ashwin

Meeting at Woodinville P&R and going to trailhead from there. We don't have a set time for coming back - but in the past we have been back home by 9pm or 10pm or 11pm.

Okay. Mileage looks about 8 miles and 3700 feet gain. SHouldn't take all day, but it is what it is.

I am not familiar with any climbs here, so I dont have much of a comment. Anybody want to carpool from Ballard/Magnolia? ASHWIN - how likely are we to need yo be roped up. I cannot buy a harness these days, but could make one with climbing slings.

Make one should be fine. It is not a technical climb.

I will be driving up from kent/Renton, anyone along the way need a ride? Also I have an all wheel drive car with snow tires. Can drive the whole way if the trail head is accessible by car.

Let me know if either of you are stuck for transportation. The i5 rout adds 20 minutes minimum for me.

      Ok. Gonna bail anyhow.

Hey -think i'm going to have to bail. Can't even get to P&R by bus until 7:30. Plus, maybe more importantly, getting over head cold. Probably best not to push it this weekend. Ya'll have fun. Looks like amazing views will be had once hitting the top.

Lets go to Jim Hill mountain this Saturday? We should probably meet at Woodinville p &r?

    January 15, 2013

  • Aimee

If there is anyone coming thru First Hill who could pick me up it will save me from having to get started on buses at 4:45 or so. I live just off of both I-5 and I-90 ramps. Will pay for gas.
