I have boots, crampons, and ice axe. I have been roped up but could always use more experience within a rope team. I've always just borrowed snowshoes, but will buy some if I get into more snowshoeing.
I'm pretty new to alpine climbing, but have done Eldorado and will do Mt. Adams at the end of this month. Besides that I get out for a hike or trail run at least once a week and try to go on as many rock climbing outings as possible.
I haven't done any international adventure travel. I'm from the most remote inhabited land mass on the planet (Hawaii) so it wasn't always easy to travel, but I have been to Australia and Whistler. I would love to go to Norway, Indonesia, New Zealand....a lot of places.
At a recent meetup hike I was talking about how I wanted to get more into alpine climbing/peak hikes/scrambles but would probably have to wait till the new year to take a beginners course offered by my company. Another one of the hikers mentioned this group and I thought I would check it out.
Moved to Seattle a year ago and love to get out end experience all the PNW has to offer while meeting great people at the same time!
