I really want to get more into Mountaineering and Alpinism. I rockclimb a lot and have dabbled in bigger adventures. I get Alpinist magazine and slobber all over the pictures. joking Also, a couple years ago I started building a 200 sq ft personal cabin in Baring, on the way to Stevens Pass. I really want to start checking off Mount Baring, Mount Index... I am ready to be roped up, have 2 axes, all the rock gear needed, a dry rope, crampons, and heavy hiking boots I summited Muir in. I would rent snowshoes or mountaineering boots from REI if I needed them for an outting.
Mailbox Peak - spring, snow Camp Muir - summer, snow Mount Washington attempt - winter, snow.
My fiance and I lived in Israel and Jordan for 6 months and brought our rockclimbing rack and gear. Mostly climbed sport but some easy trad too. We climbed in the North, just outside of Jerusalem and also near Arab villages... Kind of an adventure. We did a few 3 day hikes in the hills of the North. We also did treks through the desert of Jordan and summitted Jordan's highest peak (only a couple hour hike). I speak a little Hebrew and a little Spanish. We also have backpacked in Morocco, Turkey, Greece, Spain and Portugal.
I don't know anybody in the group. But the pictures are exactly the type of thing I want to get into.

I am 29 years old and have been rockclimbing for 5 years. If in shape, I climb in the 5.10s. I also hike and camp a lot. My lab and I summitted Mailbox peak last spring pretty easily. I also hiked to Camp Muir and really want to summit Rainier.
