20 years have passed since the signing of the peace accords ending the war in El Salvador [masked]), a conflict between the army and FMLN guerrillas. The operations of the armed forces in rural areas had devastating consequences for civilians, leaving thousands dead or missing. During the war the “metal stork” determined the fate of three children. Ricardo was taken by a military family; Ana Lilian wandered around for years after surviving the massacre of her family; Blanca was adopted in Spain. These were children who went missing in the 1980s and are now trying to understand their past to forge peaceful futures.
