Improvisacion en espanol!

Hello, fellow Spanish-speakers. Time to make fools of ourselves doing some fun improv led by Jose Bonilla. The improv consists of simple (and hilarious!) exercises to first warm up people and then have them use their imagination making up situations and acting them out (in Spanish of course). Shy people don't stay away! We usually have a few shy folks that still have a ton of fun (we do warm-up exercises and ice breakers).

An important note: though any Spanish-speaker is welcome to attend, you will get the most out of this experience if you are at intermediate level or above. I encourage beginners to first attend game day or one of the less structured social events. If you have questions about this, please send me an email. This will be potluck as always, so please bring food or drinks to share. No booze at the library, though. :( Let me know if you have questions; I hope to see you there!

We had a great mix of experienced and completely new people to improv. And, as usual, as the activities progressed you could feel the energy in the air. This is a great activity to learn Spanish, but also to reconnect with oneself and recharge batteries.

Jose Bonilla es un gran coordinador - con mucha paciencia y simpatia. Los participantes se meten en los juegos con mucho animo.

This was my first time attending. Jose did a fantastic job leading the improvisations. This is a great way to improve one's Spanish. Indeed, such a thing should be occasionally done in regular classroom settings such as in a high school Spanish class.
