I will be in Portage Bay to meet you folks tonight in my blue kayak. Will the group launch kayaks right off the parking lot of Montlake Playfield? Can't tell from the Google maps where a ramp or beach is. Is there a good landmark I will see from the water?

I'm excited to be able to go on this kayaking adventure. Thank you so much for getting it organized. I will be needing a kayak myself as I do not presently own one.
Also, I may need a tent. I have one I just borrowed called a QuickDraw but have not figured out yet how to collapse it small enough so that it will fit in a kayak. I'll keep playing with it to see if I can get it twisted into a small cylinder.
