Visit Pete's Organics, the newest vendor comes from Mc Vean Farm, a place he believes to be the most wonderful spot on Earth. Peter farms 3 acres, certified organic, and neighbours another vendor of ours... the fresh veggies. This week Peter is bring to market - kale, collard, swiss chard, beets, salad mix, calaloo, eggplant, okra, tomatoes, arugula and peppers.
Organic Tea cup will be there again this week
You missed them last week, but Clover Roads, Baba Link, Ravenstone and Infant Organics will all be back this weekend
Baba Link Organic Farm will be bringing large heirlooms, cherry and currant tomatoes. Gold raspberries and ground cherries.
Last week Michelle, the Market Chef, cooked up some delicious wraps. She's back again this weekend so be sure to shop hungry at the market. The " Cooking with the Market Cook" class series continues on September 15th. This month it will be all about zucchini and other summer squash! Class starts at 10:30 and the fee is $30. register instore at customer service desk and see you there!
Thanks for the rain! That was the consensus around the market last weekend. Some farmers going 7 weeks without a measurable amount of precipitation on their farms. Ontario farmers need your support, crops are suffering province wide due to drought conditions. Shop at the market and see what else these great farmers have to offer.
