What do you find most challenging, what would you like to learn more about in regards to eating local?

Getting food to the city is a huge issue for local farms. It's not just the distance but also a myriad of logistical issues that include, store shelf access, health regulations, city zoning, parking costs and of course cheap food in large internationally supplied grocery stores. How do we support people to buy local and sustainable food through new points of access?

What is your area of work/interest that you would you like to share with other locavores?

We offer on farm educational tours and also host special event farm dinners.

Name three things you would like to do relating to eating locally grown food and community building.

1) Grow a wider variety of foods to include things like dry beans, oats and indigenous corn. 2)Develop a year round all food groups CSA share for members where they can eat of course vegetables, but also meats, dry goods and fruits. 3)Support the development of a regional non-profit organization that markets local food through working with local farmers and educating and organizing consumers into buying groups.

I have the following food items for sale or trade:

We have a CSA membership and you can view our website for more information at

Would you be interested in hosting an event?

Chris Krucker and Denise Trigatti have a 25 acre organic farm in Copetown. They have been growing and selling food for 15 years.

What Chris K. is saying about this Meetup Group

I wish I could make it out to more meetups - maybe in the winter.
