It's HAPA-ning at HAPA Izakaya

Hello Eaters,

I've been craving Japanese food lately. Modern Japanese bistro food done well and priced well! I've been to HAPA few times before and love it. It's a casual atmosphere, the waiters are super nice and more importantly, the food is unique and tasty. The idea with Hapa is similar to Guu or any tapas restaurant. Small dishes meant to be shared amongst friends. Best idea would be to pair up and share food in 2's, 3's or 4's so you can try a few things.

Although the menu is on the smaller side, I think there is enough to satisfy the creative eater in all of us!

I will set the limit to 8 for now, but may increase it once I talk to the manager in more detail!

As usual, try to bring cash, although they accept everything.
RSVP as soon as possible, but please change your status if you can no long go 48 hours prior to the event. If you are running late, don't worry, just give me an email, text, or call so I know you're safe and on your way!

Hope to see some new and familiar faces!
Bundle up and seeya then!

May I suggest scheduling a meetup Swee or Luchi? Just choose a weekend that works for you!
If you need help, I'm here to guide or help!

I agree and that is why we limit all out meetups when it comes down to smaller and popular restaurants. I still want to encourage small meetups though! A group of 4 or 6 is usually manageable and still worth planning for. At the same time it gives more options for our members if they cannot make it to another meetup. Guu is a good example for illustrating this point. Although it's really popular, arriving a bit early with a smaller group is still a good option! In the end, the more options, the better. I encourage any member with any ideas to suggest it, whether they want to organize it or not. I'm here to help with every step of the way!!!

Thanks for adding me, Reynold! But I'm in much the same boat as Afeefa... Sadly, due to the late notice, I ended up making alternate plans for tonight. I do hope that you'll do 'Japanese' again... And I hope to see all of you soon!!

Haha... I was just thinking if anyone wants to go to Guu Izakaya on one of the weekends, and amazingly you schedule an Izakaya. :-) Unfortunately this won't work for me because it is on weeknight.... :-(

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
