You must attend an OPEN HOUSE if you are interested in purchasing this unit! Applications will be available at the open houses.

Sat, Mar 2, 11 am to 3 pm
Sun Mar 10, 1 pm to 4 pm

If you absolutely cannot attend an open house, we may be able to make other arrangements, but we cannot guarantee it (because of how many people are interested).

We are looking for new members who… Pea shoots connectingPea shoots connecting

• are committed to their own creativity, sustainability, and/or in social change work

• value building relationships with people who are different from themselves

• desire a strong sense of community

• are committed to working out conflict with others and to building relationships with fellow community members

To qualify for buying this unit, your household income must fall between approximately $35,000 and $64,400 (depending on household size). You need to EITHER be a first-time homebuyer, have enough money to put down a large downpayment, have not owned a home in the past 3 years, OR have other special circumstances (such as divorce) that would enable you to qualify for the special loans.

We will provide more detailed financial information at the open houses.

Please note that the move-in date will be July 1, but that for the first few months, you would be renting the unit (while in escrow).

If we invite you to an interview you will need to submit additional financial information, due at the time of the interview. This includes three years of tax returns, recent pay stubs, and a credit report, both to verify that your income is not too high, and to make sure you will be able to get a loan. You will also need to prequalify for a loan within a few days of the interview. All financial information will be kept confidential.

If you have questions, please read all the materials at the Mariposa Grove website, including the Details, and project description.  Bring your questions to one of the open houses. While we would love to be able to respond to every email question, we simply get too much email interest to respond to every question. Thanks!

    Hi Mariposa Grove,
I was unable to come to those open houses, but I would love to come. I have cash , but not much income, in terms of buying in.
Please let me know of another opportunity to visit.
    Thanks, Diana Martin

Diana, you might want to contact the community's host, Jenn, directly by clicking on her name on the upper right of the page and using the envelope icon to email her. But with around 60 people at each open house, I think odds are good that they'll end up with someone who was there, without doing another event for this opening. We will work on hosting future events there, as we have in the past.

Mariposa Grove has had associate members renting (or potential owning) neighboring houses. You might like to followup on that another time.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
