Co-Householding Working Group
We are women helping each other to create one or more groups of people who want to rent a house together. Each group will decide for themselves what ages, genders, and values they want in their cohouseholding community.
Potluck starts promptly at 6:30pm
7PM for Introductions and Start of Discussion
This is not a general Co-Housing group. Our focus is on the sharing solutions we want to create together -- whether they be financial, ecological, dietary, location, governance guidelines or household operations agreements. We will compile the necessary documents to present to a landlord, discover what our individual needs and ‘deal breakers’ are, detail what a house must have for us and get to know each other in this process. We will form working groups to explore what is available on the market and find answers to the questions that come up in our discussions.
Several of us met during the summer and fall. Our first formal gathering November 1st, was very successful. We are planning to meet monthly as study group gets off the ground.
EBCOHO supporting members Karen and Spring are hosting the December potluck and discussion.
RSVP here at the EBCOHO meetup group to indicate your interest (YES, NO or MAYBE); If you fill out the answers to the questions, Karen will be in touch with you with the address and directions.
You can also email Karen at [masked] with any questions.
This is one of two study groups coming out of the Bay Area Senior Women's Housing Options, a facilitated brain jam problem solving meeting that will start up monthly again in January 2014 (check back for that date).
