The Transition Network in cooperation with the Brain Exchange, invites you to our 2014 continuing initiative of meetings and educational presentations to explore housing options for women over 50.

From 6:00-6:30 p.m. we will have orientation for new members, and for those of you who have already attended a meeting, a HOUSING/SHARE/PAIR warm-up, where you will have a chance to make further connections before we do our brainstorming and networking that will start at 6:30.

Looking forward to hearing from you and hope to see you on the 27th!

At 6:30 --- HOME (Housing Options Mind Exchange - formerly known as BASWHO) uses a structured

In the first part of the gathering, everyone will have a short amount of time to introduce themselves and identify a question they have or a resource they are offering. In the second part, a few people will get a chance to clarify their question, and then receive focused time when everyone present will offer their ideas without discussion.

The key support that HOME provides is a hub, or a central meeting ground for women to discover new ways of thinking through housing issues; where they can find other women to explore specific options; and most importantly, to feel supported in this new and uncharted territory critical to our age group. All housing-related questions are welcome.

The brainstorming approach to explore housing options and alternatives with women over 50. If this is your first time, we invite you to come earlier for an orientation session on how we use this approach.

Cost $[masked] donation at the door (No one turned away for lack of funds). Expect 25-30 women total; many who are already in this group don't RSVP through EBCOHO.

Note: In RSVPing, please indicate the type of housing (listed below) which interests you.. Color coordinated name tags will help you identify other like-minded women.

The Transition Network serves women over 50, the vast majority of whom have had careers. These are women with the potential to change the world, to change each other and change the wider community.

The Brain Exchange is a monthly, open-ended brainstorming group for women, re-introduced in 1995 by Anita Goldstein and Susan Goldstein. Affiliated brainstorming groups are emerging all the time! People brainstorm about relationships, in-laws, children, quality of life questions, career questions, marketing strategies, entrepreneurial ideas, titles for the books they're writing and names for their babies.

Brainstorming is an opportunity to meet like-minded women, to give and receive support for work and personal issues, and to network. It's a process that encourages people to share their new projects, their concerns, their hopes and fears, and to explore transitions. We use a structured process and traditional brainstorming guidelines to generate answers to questions.
