Co - owner needed to save our ranch duplex. It's over .25 acre in Alameda – gardens, drip irrigation, pathways w/lavender, passionflower, fruit trees, willow, sitting areas, ponds w/ solar waterfall, hens, honey bees hot tub, tranquility...
I 1st learned of EBCoHo thru a Craigslist co-op ad. ...I never knew all that is going on... Many thanks to all who work on improving our society 1 small community at a time.
Shared investment - not just ownership also socially invested in home community. Shared responsiblities, awareness, caring, and helping, - but within limits - also must respect for 'personal space'. Ability to communicate and work together a must!
Intent is affordable buy-in, & want to save Alameda ranch duplex. Wife just wants equity in divorce. Looking for creative ideas, but city has residential limits - It can't be more than a duplex legally. Has 1200 sf garage shop. Unique opportunity.

All levels of opportunies exist for home ownership in communities of liked-minded people. The trick is in getting the right people together at the right time to improve the planet, one neigborhood at a time. This group tries to do that and if you find an opportunity that doesn't work for you, pehaps you can tell someone who will benefit. In fact such discussions with others may help you to find what you are looking for. It is all part of the exchange of ideas, and that is how we make this a better world.
Hello David and welcome to the group. Once we get about 10 to 15 members I will plan a meeting. Sorry about the repetitive questions. I fixed this issue today.
Welcome to the group. I hope this group can be helpful for you.
David, is this group still active? If so, I am very interested.
Hi David, I'd like to learn more!
I would love to find out more about living at Blooming Casa. It sounds really great! Contact me at [masked]
Hi David! I would be interested in checking out your duplex situation in Alameda.
Thanks for stepping up as a supporting annual member of East Bay Cohousing at the gathering at Swan's, David. Let's see how we can support forming community around your Alameda home.
David, it was great to see you at the Struthers Dias open house in Alameda last night. I liked your detailed comment on the event: http://www.ebcoho.org/calendar/116669... -- you might want to copy-and-paste it into the discussion board in a new thread on "Cohousing in Alameda" to help make others aware of the issues and challenges.
Thanks for your active participation and valuable feedback after last Saturday's gathering, David. Let's see what we can do to bring new community living options to Alameda, where I lived for 5 years and miss that small-town feeling.
