How did you hear about East Bay Cohousing?

Google search

What does Cohousing mean to you?

Creating and participating in sustainable communities through shared space, shared values and shared responsibility. My wife and I are generally new to co-housing, though we have both studied and worked towards social and ecological justice in several capacities. We are now looking to lay roots in a place and weave some webs of community with a like-minded and diverse group in the East Bay. Cohousing means a subtle balance between privacy and communal space, and the re-imagining of how we as communities live, work, play and relate to one another. It's about celebrating shared meaning and finding creative ways to live a more meaningful and responsible existence on this fragile yet resilient Home.

What's most likely: Rent, Buy, Share, Build, Co-create?

Co-create and cooperate, rent some space and share the Place.

Where are you most interested in living?

Most likely Oakland, though we are very open to anyplace in the East Bay.

Introduction

Moving to the East Bay and looking to join a co-housing community. I recently completed an innovative MA in Economics for Transition in the UK, co-created by the Transition Network - interest in climate justice, sustainable comm. & food sovereignty
