Introduction

I live at Monan's Rill, an intentional community in the hills NE of Santa Rosa. (monansrill.org) I am trying to start a cooperative household within the community. Interested in rural living?

How did you hear about East Bay Cohousing?

I am a participant in the Facilitating Cooperative Groups 3-day trainings organized by Raines and Betsy.

What does Cohousing mean to you?

Though Monan's Rill is not Cohousing, it is an intentional community. What that means to me?... not having to own my own battery charger and being willing to loan out my pressure canner.

What's most likely: Rent, Buy, Share, Build, Co-create?

Where are you most interested in living?

I love it here in rural Sonoma County.

  • Hi Joan. I read about your community vision via Co-Housing Meet-Up. I live in Oakland and am pondering next steps toward sustainable and permanent living situation. I am so deeply nourished by "pure life" yet need the stimulation and collaboration of community. Monan Hill sounds like an option that would allow both my needs to be met in the company of kindred spirits. I included my email and contact info in a Facebook message to you. Patricia Lynn Reilly

  • Joan, thanks for letting me know about your community. It's good to know there are so many options out there when we are ready to make a move.
