Go back to the Medieval era in Tavares

There's a wonderful Renaissance Faire in Tavares each November. It's an incredible sight to see a knight on horseback racing during a jousting match - and more authentic than Medieval Times.

Have a roasted stag or grog for lunch at the faire, along with authentic medieval Coca-Cola and corn dogs.

And after the faire's finished, join us at the Ruby Street Grille in downtown Tavares . It's an excellent restaurant which locals love. Nothing extraordinary, but good decent food.

Well mannered kids are welcome as long as their parent/guardian keeps them under control. Remember that there will be adult conversations.

The faire is an outdoor activity and obviously subject to cancellation if the weather's bad.

Please keep your RSVP for the restaurant up to date. Obviously if you aren't interested in the faire you're still welcome to join us for dinner.

It looks like I am not going to make it. The weather was too crappy for the faire.

Everybody else enjoy yourself - it's a decent restaurant.

Is anybody else going to the Renn faire from Orange county? (e.g. doing both the faire and dinner).

Hi, everybody I just signed out in your meetup group. I am not new in town but I like to meet new people. Like all of you I love to eat, learn about other countries and their food, love to cook. I think for me is probably a nice group to be part of that why I signed with you guys. Hope to meet you soon and have a good time too.
