Welcome peaceful witches! This group is a place for those who have beliefs from various backgrounds; the Eclectic witches. We are witches who are creative and practice our craft in our own way. Most of us are self-initiated though a few of us may have started to practice in a tradition.
Some of us may be natural witches, others have learned our art in a traditional background. We are all of different levels in our magick. Those who are new to the craft are welcome to join. You do not need to have a certain level of experience or knowledge to feel comfortable.
This group was created for discussing magickal knowledge, join or teach classes, make pagan crafts together, celebrating sabbats and esbats, and hold healing circles. The only requirement is that members must be at least 21, however parents may bring mature children to discussions and classes; at family events bring all your children or even nieces & nephews.
Group activities include making incense, candles, soaps, and making oils for magickal and medicinal use. For example, we had a class about the magickal and medicinal properties of herbs where we grow herbs, and share the herbs we have grown. Members are encouraged to give input, teach classes, write & lead sabbats/esbats, and lead discussions.
Taking care of the earth and her creatures is something all earth based religions should encourage. I feel that as witches we should be the example and do everything possible to help care for mother earth and her creatures. If you are not already active in helping out in some way, I encourage you to take part in helping the environment, volunteering at places that care for people in need or help them in some way, or help by protecting and caring for animals. Even one hour a month is a help, as these days because of the economy people are not spending as much time helping as they used to. I belong to several animal rights groups and groups that support helping the environment, and write letters to congressmen and other politicians to when I am alerted that an organization has harmful practices towards animals, including farm animals and wildlife, and when I find out companies have practices that are harmful to the environment. I wish that I could do more, but because I have MS I am limited in what I can do.
Meetings and classes are usually at my home. We may have outings to places like New Hope, PA and family get togethers at the Cape May Zoo, Wildwood, and different area parks.
Its content is only available to members.
To learn more, contact the organizer directly, or you can go ahead and join the group.
