Artist Point is a popular snowshoe destination in the North Cascades and for good reason: the pay off far outweighs the effort.
The actual namesake of this trail is a high viewpoint between the two great peaks: Mount Shuksan and Mount Baker.
For this trip, you'll require a valid Passport and plan to be gone the entire day. We will have dinner down in the US before returning back across the border.
You should have snowshoeing experience, reliable equipment, and be capable of keeping pace with the group.
*** Do NOT bring any fruits or vegetables with you. We can make a stop to pick some up, across the border, on the way to Artist's Point.
***Please Note: This snowshoe is weather dependent. In the event of unfavorable conditions, I will cancel this event, so please check this site the evening before we are scheduled to meet! (10 pm.)

We will meet at the far end of the parking lot by Colussus Movie Theatre in Langley (200 St. Exit) located at #20090, 91A Avenue, Langley.
We will meet there to arrange carpooling.
In consideration of the environment, the limited parking available, and the high cost of fuel, it is recommended that we carpool whenever possible. While the group does not endorse any formal policy, it is typically suggested that passengers offer the driver $5.00 per half hour of driving (includes mileage and vehicle wear & tear). However, private arrangements between passenger(s) and driver may be made ahead of time.
Please note in your RSVP whether you can offer a ride or need a ride, and where you will be coming from. Passengers, please ensure you show up on time and bring an extra bag for wet/muddy footwear and clothing.
Please do not leave carpooling arrangements until the last minute. The organizer is not responsible for arranging carpooling opportunities on your behalf - that is strictly the responsibility of every individual member. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
