Evening Snowshoe - Brockton Point

  • Feb 19, 2013 · 6:30 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Evening snowshoes are a great way to end the day, so please come out and join me!

I would, however, ask that you have previous snowshoeing experience, have a moderate to high level of fitness, and be prepared to keep pace with the group - we tend to go at a steady pace all the way to the top. We usually complete the return trip anywhere between an hour and fifteen minutes to two hours, maximum.

No uninvited or unannounced members or guests, please. Thank you for understanding! :-)

***Please Note: This snowshoe is weather dependent. In the event of unfavorable conditions, I will cancel this event, so please check this site 2 hours before we are scheduled to meet!

Hiking Details:

Region: North Shore

Difficulty: Intermediate

Pace: Moderate and steady

Estimated Time: 1-2 hrs. +/-

In consideration of the environment, the limited parking available, and the high cost of fuel, it is recommended that we carpool whenever possible. While the group does not endorse any formal policy, it is typically suggested that passengers offer the driver $5.00 per half hour of driving (includes mileage and vehicle wear & tear). However, private arrangements between passenger(s) and driver may be made ahead of time.

Please note in your RSVP whether you can offer a ride or need a ride, and where you will be coming from. Passengers, please ensure you show up on time and bring an extra bag for wet/muddy footwear and clothing.

Please do not leave carpooling arrangements until the last minute. The organizer is not responsible for arranging carpooling opportunities on your behalf - that is strictly the responsibility of every individual member. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Should be clear tomorrow evening ! Looking forward to this.
Driving (small non-suv with so-so tires) if extra capacity needed. Leaving from work in N. Burnaby, near Marine & Boundary.
Map link is a bit off, but I take it this is the Superstore just off the highway after the bridge.

We can fit 5 all together, so with the numbers as they are it should work... a little squishy in the back seat, but doable.
