Wal-mart (cross street is Skeena; turn in at Chevron gas station)

We will gather at Wal-mart parking lot and sort our car pool logistics.  Extra vehicles can park at side street (Skeena).  The team will drive to Mt. Seymour parking lot where the trailhead is located.    We will take multiple snacks breaks instead of one regular lunch break.

• high point: 1420 m.

•  elevation gain: 500 m. (cumulative will be much more (ups and downs))

• average grade: 6.3 %

• net hiking time: 7 hours

• rating: intermediate

• pace: moderate/steady

gear needed

• footwear: hiking boots; gaiters (if you have them)

• clothing: shell jacket (preferably with hood); additional core layer; gloves; toque

• sun protection: sun glasses, sun block, lip balm, sun hat

• food and water

• trekking poles (if you are used to using them)

• bear spray (if you already have them)

• traction device (yak-trex or micro-spikes) if you already have them

• head lamp/flashlight

additional info

• we will take the western approach (faint trail branch off between Peak 2 and 3)

• the trail beyond peak 2 is not well travelled; expect over grown

• if you are able to drive and willing to take passengers, please post a comment

• please consult with indivivual driver(s) about car pool gas money

    I wish I'd know earlier but I'm headed out to Frosty mountain with another club Sunday!! Any other future Sunday trips planned it's my day off so I'll be there. Have a good hike :-) Hope to see you and the group soon.
