It's been a long while since we did the last karaoke so some of us thought it was about time. This is yet another event jointly organised with The Edinburgh Korean Meetup Group. Therefore if you happen to be a member of both groups, please RSVP only once on their respective site. The idea is to go to the Supercube on George Street and belt out your favourite songs for a couple of hours. I chose a Tuesday night because the venue offers "Bargain Night Prices" on Mondays and Tuesdays with some of the bigger rooms set at £25 per hour. So, tentatively speaking, if 10 of us turn up and sing for 2 hours, that will come to £5 each. The more of us turn up, the cheaper it will get. I am booking the largest room there accommodating comfortably up to 20 people and 25 if we can squeeze a bit. A possible third hour will cost only £2.50 more per person if we are so inclined and allowed to do so by the venue.
Please have a look at their website at http://www.supercube.biz/howto.php
and their extensive song ranges in
and Korean http://www.supercube.biz/PDFs/Korean.pdf
It would be a good idea to have a look through the song books and come up with a list of the songs that you want to sing, and this will save us some valuable time. Altough the song list doesn't seem updated since early 2012, a phone call tonight has confirmed that their list gets updated every month and now also includes songs in French, Vietnamese and more.
I will leave the RSVP open until Sunday the 8th of September, as we have more room to manoeuvre this time.
Looking forward to seeing you!
Oh... please feel free to comment on the event.
