Let's Meetup and...have a enjoyable walk through Morningside

We will meet at the clock in Morningside at 6;45pm. We will take a stroll through Morningside, Hermitage at the Braid and then walk up 164 metres of Blackford Hill. We can stop there for a break and enjoy the views before heading down to Blackford Pond and back to our meeting point.

A reasonable level of fitness is required and you should be prepared for more challenging routes. You'll need proper walking shoes as it can be muddy and slippery. Due to Edinburgh's notoriously changeable weather a weatherproof jacket is also advised.

Walkers are responsible for their own safety, and no member or organizer from the group can be held responsible in case of any mishap. By signing up for this walk you are understood to have agreed to these terms.

The meeting point is served by the 5, 11, 15, 16 and 23 bus routes so it is easily reached from all over the city.

Hi! We're going to meet tomorow! Sorry but could anybody help me with the address of the meeting point? I arrived recently to the city and I normally write the address destination exactly in my app ;)

Hi Julia, although I’m not the organiser of this walk, I saw your query and I know the area well, so I hope Deb doesn’t mind me replying on her behalf.

The old clock is opposite the Bank of Scotland at 426 Morningside Road, Edinburgh, EH10 5QF. You will see it directly across the main road (Morningside Road) from the bank.

Take the #5 bus heading outnof town at 6;14. It will say Hunters Tryst. Tell the driver you want to get out at Morningside station at the clock. This bus will get you there by 6:36 or so. Please ring my mobile if any problems.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
