A charming and peaceful walk from the Forth Rail Bridge in the historic village of South Queensferry through the Dalmeny Estate to the outflow of the River Almond down into Cramond.
Exact distance 8 miles
Time 3 1/2 - 4 - including short breaks Dogs welcome and there are plenty off lead parts in this walk but owners must take respondibility for their dogs and keep them under control - please be considerate of your fellow walkers :-)
As we pass over via Cramond Brigg if people do not wish to walk the whole distance to Cramond this could be your drop out point (6 mile point) as a short 5 min walk will take you up to the Barnton Junction where you can catch buses back into town or back to South Queensferry - we will continue the walk down to Cramond Via river almond path ending with a wee well deserved drink in the Cramond Inn before catching the bus home.
Have also been looking up some facts re the walk and interesting stop points that are recommended ie the dog that haunts a bit of the walk - and other wee bits lol. Anyone interested am happy to share some of them on the day :-)
By signing up for this walk you are doing so at your own risk and are responsible for your own health and safety ( have not lost anyone yet or had any mishaps LOL and hope to keep a clean slate LOL) - neither myself or the group as a whole take any responsibility for any mishap / misadventures whilst on the walk :-)
