HSS-EG Pub Night - Bellevue Bar, at the bottom of Broughton Street

New venue, as Mathers has been refurbished and it's not conducive to people moving around, where as, last month at the Bellevue we all mingled, and this made for a great night. (I've manage to agree with the manager to supply us a few nibbles just as we had at Mathers, there is of course a menu should you wish to have a meal).

We will be on the Mezzanine floor, directly opposite the bar, stairs in front of you at the back.

On the last Wednesday of every month, the Humanist Society of Scotland Edinburgh Group (HSS-EG) hosts purely social meetings/get-togethers now at the Bellevue Bar at the bottom of Broughton Street. Come for a drink (alcoholic or not, nibbles are provided), and chat with fellow free-thinkers. The environment is both friendly and thought provoking, with an enormous diversity of opinions.

Everyone is welcome, not just group members, and there is no fee for attending. Because the HSS-EG is not based on the Meetup web site, there are often attendees who have not RSVP-ed here, sometimes as many as 2 or 3 times the number you see here. There is no requirement to book or RSVP in advance, so you can just show up (although it is of course nice to RSVP here). You will find us just up the stairs, sitting at the reserved tables and there should also be the HSS sign displayed.

In addition to the social pub night, you may also want to check out the other regular monthly meetings. On the first Monday of each month the HSS-EG hosts a meeting (at the Mecure Edinburgh Mount Royal Hotel (in between Marks and Spencer and Jenners) that usually includes a talk/lecture, presentation, debate, or discussion. See the other events for details on this.

Flow of the conversation was excellent as usual! Should make my way down more often.

    Good conversation!
For those who were talking about a non-religious 'religious' meeting, I think I mentioned this as a possible theme song. ... Very nostalgic for me!

I should be at the Bellevue not long after 6.00 pm tomorrow and plan to find out what there food is like, so if anyone wants to join me.........
We also have Caroline coming along tomorrow, who now lives in Australia, though is from here and visiting, she's a Celebrant there, so it might be interesting to hear what she has to say. And we have Huifen (student at Edin Uni), who is a member of the Singapore Humanists, so it should be an even more interesting evening that usual.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
