Submission Process

All ideas and stages of start-up businesses are welcome to enter: whether your ed tech idea is at the concept stage, or you are an early stage start-up, - we welcome all innovations and every submission has the same chance.

There are two key application dates to consider:

Application Submission Deadline: Friday, May 23 (5 p.m. - Eastern Time US)

You have until June 16 to create and upload a 1x page doc (PDF guide below) that details your business idea. Try to get your submission in as early as possible - don’t join the last minute rush of entries. Submissions after this date will be excluded.

Notification of Selection: Monday June 16 (5 p.m. - Eastern Time, US)

If your idea is selected - congratulations you have made it to the  preliminary round (Sunday, June 29).

- If you have been successful, Edmix will contact you that day to let you know - and to inform you which Preliminary session you will be presenting in (there are two Prelims sessions on Sunday June 29)

Please note:  All travel and related expenses for participation in the pitch fest are the responsibility of the participating companies.  Companies selected for the pitch fest will receive up to 2 complimentary exhibits-only passes for Sunday and Monday.

Feed Back

All pitch fest participants will receive a complimentary review of their product from an ed tech advocacy group that independently evaluates ed tech products and services designed for classroom use.

Unfortunately, judges will not be able to offer feedback on your submitted one-page business pitches.

Audience Participation

Each pitching session will include audience voting on the ideas that they wish to see progress.  The audience vote will  inform and support the judges’ decision.
