French Language Exercise - Future Travel Plans

PLEASE READ THE MEETUP DESCRIPTION BEFORE YOU RSVP YES!

Every two weeks, we will set up "The French Language Exercise" meetup to allow all participants to practice their written and spoken French. All attendees are required to do some homework on the chosen topic: Future Travel Plans. This meetup will be mostlly in French with some deviation in English to help with understanding if needed.

Please prepare a short introduction of your name, a bit of info about yourself and your future travel plans. Try to have your prepared notes on what you would like to share with regards to your planned future trip or a dream to visit some unique place in the future. Try to time and practice for a possible maximum speaking time of 5 minutes.

Location: Block 1912,[masked] Ave NW, Anyone who arrives first, try your best to reserve the two big tables out in the back.

Time: 10:30am to 12:15pm

Purpose: practice your future tense with "Aller" + Infinitif (futur proche) and futur simple... infinitif plus ai, as, a, ons, ez, ont with the usual exceptions for etre=ser and avoir=aur plus ai, as, a, ons, ez, ont.

Depending on the size of the group, each participants will be given a set number of minutes to present their prepared notes. This will be followed by either a roundtable discussion or 2 group person discussion after the individual presentations.

Lastly, my apologies in posting this meetup last minute but I was not totally sure if I am able to commit my time this long weekend. I am posting an early start because I do have to work this Saturday. So if anyone wants to take advantage of this meetup to practice your French, please join the discussion. I understand that there may not be too many participants because of the early start or long weekend. So if you are able to commit this Saturday, I will be there to converse with anyone in French!

I'm sorry, as much as I'd love to, I won't be able to make it to Block 1912 after all. My apologies.

I saw a banner about meet up groups at the library tonight and since I've been trying my whole life to learn French AND Block 1912 is my favorite Edmonton coffee shop, I think I should stop by. I won't have time to prepare anything by tomorrow and I may have to leave before the end, but I do have travel plans and would be willing to attempt to talk a little about them if you would like. I would also be happy just to listen. Thanks.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
