Edmonton Comic and Entertainment Expo

The Edmonton Comic and Entertainment Expo is this coming weekend!  Last years was a ton of fun, and this years looks to be just as good.  Details are here:

http://edmontonexpo.com/

As there are so many different cool things going on at any one time, there won't be a time to get together as a group, I expect many of us will run into each other in our wanderings of the convention floor though.  See you there!

I went to the Comic Con and was able to meet John Barrowman. It was a great experience. I look forward to next year.

    Hi all!

There will be a few of us getting together for general nerd chat after the con, on Sunday at the Tim Horton's right by Corona LRT Station(Jasper Ave and 107th Street). We'll be there by around quarter after 5 or so(basically however long it takes us to get there from Coliseum Station after the con) and will probably be there for at least an hour or two. Anyone who would like tp is welcome to come.

    See you there!

I bought tickets for the whole weekend. I am big puzzled on finding any of the members there, as I haven't been to any events in quite some time and the only member i recall meeting was Laura.

I'll be there! Look for me dressed as Boomer from Battlestar Galactica. And my hubby will be Chief Galen Tyrol in bright orange coveralls!

I will be dressed as Ezio from Assassin's Creed II on Saturday if anyone wants to say hi :)

Ok so I'm about to let me geek flag fly......for those who are dressing up there is a costume contest on Saturday, as well as many spotlights on the guests coming. You can trade in your tickets for passes in Friday (everyone must do this, easier to do it Friday and skip lines in Saturday). I suggest coming early so you can avoid all the crowds that show up mid afternoon. Hope this is helpful. If anyone is going for the whole weekend I'll be dressed up on Sunday, look for the "weeping angel" ;)

    Happy geeking!

To answer some of the questions below, I definitely recommend getting advance tickets - they can be purchased from the link in the event description:

There are no plans to meet before or at the con, so it's pretty much show up whenever you want.

Hello, I am new in the group and in the city as well. I want to go to this Entertainment Expo, it seem really fun. Do you guys meet before or just arrive to the place?

I'm so happy that Edmonton has one of these, I missed the one in Montreal this year... are you buying advance tickets?
