It's Matt with the Edmonton Entrepreneur Group. Just wanted to make sure you know about the last minute location change. Meeting at the Starbucks. (178st and 69ave). And the time has been changed to start at 6:30pm so we have a bit more time to talk.
We'll need to find a bigger venue since so many people are coming out. If anyone know of a private room or location that we could hold the meeting please let me know by email or at mondays meeting.
Since we started the meeting back in 2007, it's really grown. It's great to see such a solid turn out with upwards of 50 people sometimes attending. We're also the second largest meetup group in the city in terms of members.
This gives everyone a great venue to meet other like minded people. Chat, network, exchange business cards, meet new prospects, or business partners, and new friends. As organizer of the group I've generally keep the focus on keeping the group no cost, however, due to the increasing size of the group, the added benefit from that, the work involved to organize host and pay the meetup costs, I might be forced to put out a very small fee to attend. This is only an idea for now so please don't panic. But if you consider that attending might allow a person to hand there business card out to 50 other business owners or more, plus an enjoyable evening of socializing you can see the benefit in that. I'll let you know well in advance if we end up having to implement this change. But monday's meeting will still be no charge to attend.
Also the starbucks is a bit small so with a lot of people it can get warm in there so dress appropriate.
The only other thing is I'm looking for a dedicated assistant organizer to help with the events. If you're interested let me know.
That's pretty much it, time to go enjoy some sun! Anyway, again the meeting is at the Starbucks on 178st and 69ave Monday starting at 6:30pm. (beside the shoppers drug mart). Thanks again for your support. Please tell a friend by forwarding this email onto them. Thanks.
