hey it's Matt - keynote speakers

Hey,

How's it going? Hope you were able to make it out last night. If not, they'll be another meeting right away. Plus we're looking for a few keynote speakers....

I listed a bunch of new meetups for the Edmonton Entrepreneur Group. We'll hold about one a week. Typical turn out has been approximately anywhere from 20 up to 50 people on occasion, and the total members are hovering at about 887 Edmonton members.

I was thinking it might be an idea to allow a few keynote speakers to do a couple short talks at the beginning of the meetup, followed by the regular networking. Each keynote speaker would have 10 minutes to present, almost like a TED talk....

If you decide you want to speak to the group (which should be on average 30 people) you can talk about your services, your products, or even your business opportunity. The advantage of being one of our keynote speakers will be that you can present to the entire group of 30 people all at once. It could be a good way to demonstrate your service.

For example say you're an Accountant. Perhaps you know that a lot of business owners might not be saving the kind of money during tax time that they could be. So you present that, and explain the key advantages of using your services. This is a great way to open the door to generate new clients; and you can hand out your business cards, and brochures. This would be the same for any business, service, product demo, biz opp etc.

I only want to have one or two keynote speakers at the beginning of each meeting. We don't have any equipment either at this time. This might be something to change things up a bit and we'll see how it goes.

If you decide to be a keynote speaker you should have some kind of: business, product, service, investment, idea or other that you want to present to the group. You should provide some kind of valuable information as part of your presentation that people can walk away with regardless of anything else.

For example: If you're a bookkeeper and you have a special way of keeping records organization then you might want to explain that for everyone's benefit. ....or..... if you're into mobile apps and you know some industry statistics that most people might not be aware of, that might be something of value to offer.....or..... if you want to give away some promotional items, product samples etc etc etc...(offering something of value, as part of your presentation is what I mean)

If you want to be a keynote speaker I'd like to try it one night for fun. I won't charge you anything to present. Just keep it to 10 minutes or less. It no cost up to 10 minutes, after 10 minutes you pay me 100 dollars per minute okay? ha ha ;-p

To sign up for that simply contact me below and let me know what your presentation is going to be about. I'm looking for 1 to 3 presenters for the April 1, 2013 meetup at this time.
