Hey,

It's Matt, how are you? Hope you're enjoying your summer. Hope your business is doing well.

Funny thing is I've been kinda surprised about something I notice with a lot of Entrepreneurs. It seems almost as if a lot of entrepreneurs have practically given up, or even given up completely. Which is really sad in my mind.

Some have gotten comfortable with what they're doing, others seem to have almost fallen into this mindset of: "well i tried that once". Where they tried and maybe it worked for a little while, or maybe they failed miserably, so now they're scared to try again.

I really got to press up everyone in the group, listen carefully, you really might want to take a good look in the mirror and give yourself a reality check. You've been given an incredible gift, a unique set of skills that could allow you to create almost anything your mind can imagine. Lets face it, that's a skill that most people don't have, and could only dream of having.

You have a skill that could allow you to get out of the rat race and essentially live life on your terms. You could earn as much money as you want basically. Unlike most who have to work 40+ hrs a week for their whole lives. You have the gift that can allow you to escape that reality and build the life of your dreams.

We really have that gift. If we put our minds too it we can truly built something great. And it can happen so quickly too. Often that's how success comes too, very quickly.

So regardless of what you've tried before, I really encourage everyone not to give up, and not to get comfortable. Who's to say you don't have the next Facebook idea waiting to happen. Who's to say that with a little thinking, research, planning and implimentation, you couldn't come up with a new business that makes you 1 million per year, 10 million, or even 100 million per year!

I know that sounds impossible, but it's really not, there's countless examples of people that launched one simple idea that wrote history. and did it out of their garage, or off of there kitchen table which they developed after work and on weekends.

Often times all it takes is one simple idea, put into action, and worked on daily that ignites a fire of enterprise that is a run away hit. Like that idea you get just before you're going to bed, or when your in the shower, that somehow popped into your mind, that you thought "that's an interesting idea". (write it down!) That might be the one. Who knows.

Or maybe it's just a spin on some existing idea. Maybe it's some unique new plans added to what you're doing now. And before long the rest is history.

The point is regardless of where you are, life is short,  you don't want to waste your gift of Entrepreneurship that God has blessed you with. You don't want to keep looking in the rear view mirror of life looking at set backs or disappointments and allow them to keep you stuck. Trust me every entrepreneur who ever lived has had challenges and problems. If it were easy, well we would have just got day jobs instead.

Everyday is a new chance for you to try some new business idea. All you have to do is keep trying, testing, experimenting, and tinkering and something is bound to take off for you. But the last thing you want to do is get stuck in that idea of "well I tried something and it didn't work out so now I'm not gonna try anything anymore." You don't want to do that.

Remember life is short, and on the one hand you don't know how much time you have left. You might not have endless time left to launch your next big idea that could change the world. So get started right now.

Or you can look at it from a different angle....

which might be something like "do I have enough passive income coming in or saved to retire on"? Because you obviously can't expect to work 40-70 hrs a week forever. At some point you simply won't have the drive anymore. Or what if you got sick, hurt, or couldn't work; So what business are you building now that's going to give you the passive income you need to retire? Or even retire early in life so you can start living your dreams?

So really look at what you're doing, if it's not working maybe you got to change directions, maybe you need to try something else. Or if you haven't tired any business idea in while maybe it's time for some serious self examination, and maybe it's time to simply start trying new business ventures again.

Remember Robert Kiosoki said that "generally only 1 out of 10 businesses you try will succeed". So you might have to work at it for a while, keep trying new things if what you're doing isn't working. And not be afraid to keep trying if you fail, or if you have not tried anything in a while. Don't let your gift go idol or die out. You got to cultivate your entrepreneurial drive and keep it going forward, so go try a new business venture, nothings stopping you.

Look we know it's gonna be hard and it's gonna take a lot of work. But eventually when you finally taste sweet success it will all be worth it in the end. And you got to work for someone anyway so why not work for yourself, build a new business, one that takes on a life of it's own and starts to make you constant passive income so that you can start to enjoy life and live life on your terms. Again how are you planning to retire otherwise? So you might as well get started and give it another shot.

Again I just really want to encourage everyone in the group as I've seen a lot of people that have either gotten too comfortable, or else on the other hand, maybe things in the past didn't work out and now they've given up.

So again if you're part of the Edmonton Entrepreneur Group then what's your next multi million dollar idea? And when are you launching it? If you don't have one or are not sure then are you at least doing some research? Learning some new skills? Finding out what's trending? Examining new business opportunities, or better yet coming up with your own? Or doing something, even as simple as setting some new goals in life. Sometimes just deciding something like "I'm going to earn X amount by X date" or some other quantitative written goal can often put forces in motion that then give you the idea you need to achieve that goal.

Anyway start coming out to the meetings, bring your business cards, and just keep the drive alive my friend. Don't let your gift die! You still have one multi million dollar business idea in you to give the world. You still have some product, service, invention or idea that's going to revolutionize the planet, and help so many people, and change history as we know it. I want someone in the group to come up with the next Facebook or other multi billion dollar idea. It's possible, and it could be you, why not you.

the next meeting is scheduled, I'm in BC so I'm not sure I'll make it but the assistant organizers should be there, so be sure to rsvp below. Talk to you soon.
