Our June meetup is right around the corner!  We hope you're all able to attend, as we've got some great presentations and topics to discuss that should make for an interesting night!

Here's the agenda for the evening:

6:30 - 7:00: - Welcome, announcements, and warm up question: what does disruptive education mean to you?  Introduce yourself and discuss with a neighbor.

7:00 - 8:00: - Presentations (see below for presentation descriptions).

8:00 - 8:15: - Lightning Round - anything you want to alert the group about.  Sign up sheet will be available before, during, and after presentations.  We'll share your ideas on the meetup page, Facebook, and Twitter.

8:15 - 9:00: - Member meet and greet.

Here's our list of presenters for the evening:

Tyler Muse - LingoLive: Tyler will be discussing the role of accreditation in disruptive education and what all startups in edtech must know about it.

Chelsea McCullough - Director, Texans for Economic Progress: Chelsea will discuss the importance of infrastructure in schools and the need for access to high-speed internet and robust wireless for e-learning.

We've saved lots of time for good discussion so be sure to bring your thinking caps!

Don't forget to follow us on Twitter (@edtechaustin) and tweet about us during the meetup (#edtechaustin).

See you on Wednesday!

Best,

The EdTech Austin team

I wish schools would teach this. TEDxDoiSuthep - Jon Jandai - Life is easy. Why do we make it so hard?

I want to express my appreciation for the increased presence and participation from the instructional (both teaching and administrative) side. I hope that this trend not only continues but accelerates. The interaction between the technologist and the direct practitioner can only benefit everyone.
