Howdy Edu-folks,

As the summer comes to a close and teachers begin the epic journey that is back-to-school, we're going to meet to focus on and discuss STEM and Computer Science courses in schools.  We'll also have special guests from one of our awesome local startups, Famigo, offering teachers a great product in their mobile app for education.

So Bring your thinking caps, laptops, tablets or any other necessary implements and get ready to get thinkin'.  As always, we'll provide great local beer and snacks to keep the conversation going!

Here's our agenda for the evening:

6:30 - 7:00: - Welcome, announcements, and warm up activity.  Introduce yourself and discuss with a neighbor.

7:00 - 8:00: - Presentations (see below for presentation descriptions).

8:00 - 8:15: - Lightning Round - anything you want to alert the group about.  Sign up sheet will be available before, during, and after presentations.  We'll share your ideas on the meetup page, Facebook, and Twitter.

8:15 - 9:00: - Member meet and greet.

Here's our list of presenters for the evening:

Ripal Nathuji - TEALS represntative: The STEM Crisis - Ripal will introduce the STEM crisis and offer solutions for solving the problem facing schools.

Marta Ferraz - BioBits & Kids: Marta will discuss examples of applying STEM education with young students.

Kori McLain - Lake Travis STEM Academy:  Kori will discuss her experience with STEM education at LTSA.

Matt McDonnell - VP of Operations, Famigo:  Matt will discuss Famigo's awesome mobile app and will share how teachers in attendance can try it out!

Don't forget to RSVP for this weekend's TeacherGraph launch party!  It's going to be a great night from one of our favorite partners here in Austin!

Very compelling presentations and the connections I was able to make look promising for future collaboration.

I enjoyed meeting those that attended. I look forward to meeting the rest of the crew that I did not have a chance to meet.

Likewise - I was really looking forward to meeting everyone tonight, but I've got a personal emergency that's going to keep me away.

I'd really would like to be there for tonight's meeting, but have some personal obligations that will keep me from attending. Hope to meet everyone during the next event....

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
