I've been a "STEM" teacher since before there was an acronym. I've long thought that all disciplines should be integrated periodically in the course of an education.
I grew up with an interest in computing, but I think technology should serve efficiency first and foremost -- if it doesn't save time/money, then we're stupid for using it. I think rocks, sticks, and paint can promote creativity just as well as an iPad can. I guess I have taken my early Montessori education for granted. I love the Maker movement, yet it makes me sad that it's a fad. One foot two foot red foot blue foot.
I teach robotics and "career tech" at a middle school in Central Texas.
