Announcing the Member Spotlight Line-up!

A former member
All I can say is, "Wow." Christine and I spent the weekend reading over some amazing presentation proposals for this week's meetup, and I'm thrilled to announce the final list of speakers. In no particular order, we'll be hearing from the following ventures:

  • MindSnacks - Más games, por favor! MindSnacks is moving quickly and gaining a ton of traction in the foreign language learning space. With three #1 apps in the App Store, the MindSnacks team will bestow some great tidbits of knowledge with our community.

  • LearningJar - Organize your learning in- and out- of the classroom. Knowledge sharing and collection for a streamlined learning graph. Yep, you can now see just exactly how smart you are :) Or, at least find the things you can't remember!

  • EdShelf - Hosted directory of helpful teacher resources from a stacked tech team! They're psyched to debut their prototype with our one and only edu tech innovators meetup group.

  • Teen Wellness by Medivent, Inc. - We all know that meaningful education encompasses more than just classwork and test scores. The Teen Wellness team will be sharing their wisdom and work on cultivating social-emotional wellbeing to promote school success. A bit of a different look at how tech can be used to close the "behavior gap".

  • Luckybird Games - Even if you're anti-gamification, you're still intrigued. The Luckybird team is involved in some amazing ed-tech collaborations, and they'll be sharing some insights on "the difference between taking gaming ideas and applying them to a software program, and actually creating something that resembles mainstream titles you'd find on store shelves."

If you didn't get picked this time around, have no fear! We love featuring our group members to celebrate the work of the innovative community we're nurturing. We'll continue the meetup fun monthly, and now that we have your info, we may just reach out for the next member spotlight, panel discussion, or even keynote speaking opportunity!

Plus, over 70 people have RSVP'ed so far, so everyone will have glorious opportunities to network, share, learn, and party on with old and new friends.

See you Thursday,
