FEIS Snowshoe Fun part IV

Snowshoes are provided. We'll meet at the Astotin Lake parking lot. Bring warm clothes and footwear, scarves (the wind can get pretty strong close to Astotin lake), water, and snacks for the trip as well. Cameras and binoculars are optional but recommended as we will likely see wildlife along the trail. Normal national park entry fees apply. Links to the fee schedule and maps;
This is a public event. You don't need to be a member of the Friends to attend.
If you have any questions about the hikes/snowshoeing please contact the following people:
Ian Brusselers
For map of the park visit:
You can find a trail map here:
I've also updated the location (above) so that if you click the link it will show you the approximate location using Google Maps.
Mention that people with their own snowshoes are welcome to attend.
Carpooling will be available from the university or another convenient location. Feel free ask If you will require the carpool.
Time will be 10-1 and the trail is 7 km return but we will likely not go that far.

      Thanks very much for the photos. I will work on trying to make the hikes more informative and relaxed in the future. Thank you very much for the feedback. :)

    Hi All! Looking forward to trying snowshoeing for the first time! Craig and I are looking for a ride to the park on Saturday morning. Is the carpool option still available?

      Yep! If you can, meet at the University of Alberta North campus. Specifically the General Services building loading docks, just NW of SUB by the parkade at 9:00 AM.
