Elk Island National Park was the perfect backdrop for winter activities this Family day. We had sun and snow, people and fun. There were working sled dogs giving demonstrations and meeting the public, live celtic/folk music from The O'Niels, food and drink in the Golf couse clubhouse, tattoos and videos in the Astotin Lake theatre, hockey, skating and curling on Astotin Lake, a healthy hike along the Shoreline Trail at Astotin Lake and a firepit with coffee and nibbles. Many thanks to the Elk Island Golf Course for opening their grounds and clubhouse,
Dale Swan of Seppala Siberian tours for bringing his dog team,
The Friends of Elk Island Society for hosting the event and
all the staff of Elk Island National Park for their assistance and support.

We couldn't do it without you.

It was a nice time. We had a nice talk with the lady at the booth in the pavillion. And then we watched the music in the golf house.
