Tony Jones, National Coordinator for Emergent Village (emergentvillage.org), is visiting Charlotte, and we'll be hanging out to discuss what's happening nationally in the emerging church, ancient spiritual practices, and whatever else you want to talk about!
Tony is the author of numerous books including "The Sacred Way: Spiritual Practices for Everyday Life." He is also editor for volumes like the forthcoming "Emergent Manifesto of Hope" (which features a chapter contributed by our very own Anthony Smith) due out in April 2007 (Baker Books).
We're calling this a "learning party" because it's about learning and growing, but it's also going to be a lot of fun. So come meet Tony, ask him all the questions that are burning for you right now, and have fun meeting others who are engaged with the emerging church conversation locally!
Thanks to Java Passage for staying open a little later for us (7-9 p.m.)! Java Passage has the best coffee in Charlotte (according to Charlotte Magazine) as well as a great wine list, etc. This is their new location, tucked away just off South Boulevard behind the EQ3 furniture store.
