You are invited to a free/no-cost public presentation by Mark Scandrette, author of the new book FREE: Spending Your Time and Money on What Matters Most, which addresses important questions about time, money, meaning, and global sustainability. Filled with practical steps and exercises to help you cultivate a heart of abundance along with time and financial skills. See a short video with the author here

The evening will include a short talk by the author followed by Q & A.

Mark Scandrette is the founding director of ReIMAGINE, a center for integral Christian practice based in San Francisco, where he leads an annual series of retreats, learning labs, conversations, and projects designed to help participants integrate the teachings of Jesus into every aspect of life through shared practices and community experiments.  A sought after voice for creative, radical, and embodied Christian practice, he speaks nationally and internationally at conferences, universities, and churches, offering training and coaching to leaders and organizations. Mark is also the author of Practicing the Way of Jesus (InterVarsity Press 2011) and Soul Graffiti (Jossey-Bass 2007). Mark was also a featured voice in the ANIMATE: Faith video series. Mark and his wife Lisa and their three children live in an old Victorian in San Francisco's Mission District.

The Charlotte Emergent cohort is one of the "safer" spaces in Charlotte to ask questions and explore following Jesus no matter what your church background is (or if you don't have a church background at all). We are Catholic, Orthodox, and Protestant of every stripe, all finding unity in our diversity around Jesus and the Gospel of the kingdom of God. Come grab a seat at the table and join in the conversation!

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
