Our special guest this month is Linda Flynn, co-director of the Charlotte Spirituality Center, The Oratory, Rock Hill, SC. She will be telling us about her work as a spiritual director, as well as the Charlotte Spirituality Center and the programs that it offers. If your New Year's resolution is a deeper spirituality, come to the Meetup and bring your questions for Linda!
More about Linda: She has been practicing spiritual direction and facilitating prayer groups for over 12 years in the Charlotte community. A spiritual director and retreat leader, she specializes in Ignatian Spirituality, discernment, 12-step recovery, the Enneagram, and veterans spiritual care. With a degree in Hospitality Management, she received her spiritual direction training and certificate from the Charlotte Spirituality Center and her supervisory certificate from “Together in the Mystery Supervision Program” associated with San Francisco Theological Seminary. A teacher at the CSC and The Oratory Center for Spirituality, Linda is a progressive, ecumenical Catholic-Christian, a mother of five, and loves community! Linda is also the co-founder of the annual event “Blanket Banquet” for the homeless in Charlotte. Her hero is Dorothy Day.
This Meetup group is one of the "safe(r)" places in Charlotte to ask questions and explore following Jesus no matter what your church background is (or if you don't have a church background at all). We are Catholic, Orthodox, and Protestant of every stripe, all finding unity in our diversity around Jesus and the Gospel of the kingdom of God. Come grab a seat at the table and join in the conversation!
