very interesting !
I'll be at the next meetup with about a dozen Philosophy Magazines (in French) to give away for free to whomever's interested. As a lot of you know, Paris apartments are small and space needs to constantly be pruned.

May, of course you didn't. I posted a note to you, initially, but used the wrong name. It didn't get posted on the site.
I just wanted to say that I, as an American, find prejudice to be sublte and sometimes covert, so I couldn't comment on where in the world is the worst of it.
I wanted to wish you and and your son well, and to tell you that your story was heart-warming and gave me hope. Thank you for it.
This is a "Classic Philo Cafe".
It happens once a month in a cafe in the Latin Quarter (Cafe de Flore).
It is public, free (but you must buy a drink) and it lasts 2 hours from 7 to 9 PM on a wednesday.
Topics are proposed by the attendees and then one of them is chosen on the basis of its interest as a topic for all.
People speak one at a time (there is a microphone).
The "model" is the Cafe des Phares (in french) which is every sunday at the place de la Bastille from 11 AM to 13 PM.
It's fun, ....and serious !
Welcome to the Philosophy Cafe in English !
