IMHO, not as fun/valuable as previous meetups. I missed having an icebreaker/mingling exercise at the beginning. I also tend to use the meetups as sortof a time for introspection and challenging my assumptions about myself; for some reason there didn't seem to be much opportunity for that particular type of thinking this time around.

Also, I much preferred learning about and helping a single charity at the end. It makes it seem like we're there for a reason, even if the charity might not use the ideas we come up with.

I always like these events. But being able to learn how to better explain my concepts through visuals was an added benefit to this format.

I like the separate activities and the open space that allowed me time to talk individually with attendees.

I enjoyed interacting with people who have Thoughts and Ideas and a collaborative spirt. It was also fun!

I had rather expected that the forum would be more about organized collaboration of the attendees toward creating new ideas or solving problems, either specific to a visiting organization or a community issue. While this forum was useful on a personal growth level, I didn't feel like it leveraged the people in the room for a purpose....a consequence. The evening left me feeling like we hadn't fully exploited the opportunity we had in the room.

I didn't realize it at the time, but this morning I feel like I've had a workout for my right brain!

In theory, the workshop idea is good, but in practice, a waste of time. We did not get to involve ourselves with one another, really, at all. Instead, we were forced to concentrate on revealing ourselves in some form or another via workshops or events, which took up time but provided no real interaction between people, other than a very casual or superficial way.

A think tank is much more agreeable for this type of crowd, such that they get to tackle issues as a group, and watch each other at work. Making friends and contacts automatically happen, without the need for an aid such as a game.

Debating and discussing solutions for real life challenges, usually business, is much more fun and productive. Throughout a Think Tank session (2 hours) is plenty of time for drinking, eating, and talking, while objectives are met. Break times, every 30 or 40 minutes facilitate interactive, social time. At beginning, people list things they need help in, and then the group works at it.

Matt, you did it again. Great group of people with plenty to keep our brains engaged. Say thanks to XPlane for us as well. Dix

Tons of energy and excitement! Doing instead of talking provides an organic way to meet other people without the pressure of networking. Plus it's fun!

Innovative, interesting way to share ideas and get to know other Meetup folks. Thanks to everyone who put all of this together.
